   Epic's shooter officially clears 2 million units sold worldwide.


Epic Games has announced that flagship 360 shooter Gears of War has cleared 2 million copies sold worldwide, making it the fastest-selling next-gen game of 2006 and the fastest-selling exclusive Xbox game of all time - an impressive feat seeing as it's only been on the shelves for six weeks.

Official: Gearbox is Alien FPS developer

   Shooter to "retain the atmospheric look and feel of the original films" says Sega.


Currently, details are almost as elusive as the biomechanical organism in the original Alien movie. Sega's release didn't include any details on what we can expect at all.

But Sega says that the Gearbox-developed shooter "will retain the atmospheric look and feel of the original films while leveraging next-generation technology to create an entirely new interactive Alien experience."
