Gears of War has already been touted as a "great" game. In the for two weeks of it's release, Gears of War had sold an amazing 1 million copies. This is topped by being the the most played game on Xbox Live. Surpassing the numbers that Halo 2 had established.
It's now official. Six weeks into it's release, Gears of War has now sold a whopping 2 million units. That's right, 2 million. The game has gone platinum in the US alone, selling over a million copies. Also attributing to the success of the game, Xbox Live Gold subscriptions have increased by 50 percent, which is required to play the game online.

"This is not a product recall" Nintendo tells CVG.
After news circulated that Nintendo has ordered the recalling of three million Wii Remote wrist straps worldwide, CVG contacted Nintendo for the details. It turns out they aren't recalling them at all, but are starting a replacement service for anyone concerned.

The weird world of Bioshock
Guns, enemies, environments and general oddness revealed in new screenshots.
Irrational Games' Bioshock is so weird you can't help but be intrigued. A failed utopia on the sea bed, humans genetically modified and waging war and you appearing in the aftermath of the battle and encountering a genuinely odd world with Art Deco styling that perfectly suits the mood of the game. It's certainly a title we're very much looking forward too.
