GripShift shifting to PS3 download
A PS3 version of PSP puzzle-platform-stunt racer GripShift is heading to PlayStation Store courtesy of Sony Online Entertainment.
According to IGN, the download will cost $9.99 and appear late December/early January 2007. Apparently, the PS3 version features 125 levels (a combination of new and revamped ones, spread over 25 tracks), support for four-player online showdowns and improved control response and vehicle handling.

Datel is working on a region-free disk for Wii.
In a recent update on the Codejunkies website, Datel confirmed that it's working on a new version of their FreeLoader utility to allow Wii owners to play Wii games from any territory.

Nintendo holds its big guns back for Christmas, CVG has learnt.
Reliable sources close to Nintendo have told CVG that Super Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on Wii, and Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass on DS will not see light of day until Christmas 2007, which could mean anything from October to December.

Ad company IGA has struck a deal with Valve to make ads invade the online FPS.
Counter-Strike players will be served ads by IGA's Radial dynamic in-game advertising network, according to a report on MCV. Further news on in-game ads in CS, coming via way of fan site CS-Nation, says that the adverts will actually only appear in Counter-Strike 1.6.
