PS3 demand may be softening

   MORE than half of a group of surveyed stores had Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 3 in stock, while Nintendo's new Wii was sold out, an analyst said today.

Xbox360.Attention all car enthusiasts, you are invited to participate in a contest that will determine the inclusion of a new car design in a future Xbox 360 videogame. French auto manufacturer Peugeot is sponsoring a car design contest that will give one lucky participant the opportunity to have their design made into a full-scale concept car at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. In addition, the car will appear in a future Xbox 360 video game.

KDND 107.9, The US radio station whose 'Hold your wee for a Wii' contest led to the death of a mother of three, has fired 10 staff involved - including five on-air personalities - after reports suggest that they made jokes after listeners expressed concerns over water intoxication on air.

WoW player hits level 70 in 28 hours

   Frenchman speeds to the new level cap in marathon play session.
We thought we were doing pretty well reaching halfway to level 61 in World of Warcraft since the release of The Burning Crusade earlier this week, but our achievement pales in comparison to that of French WoW player Gullerbone - he's hit the MMORPGs new level cap of 70 in 28 hours, reaching level 70 in the early hours of January 17.

Soft demand for PS3 in the US

   Analyst says demand for PlayStation 3 "may be soft" while Sony fills the US with 100,000 PS3 units each week.
After not being able to buy a PlayStation 3 at or around the US launch (unless you headed to eBay), over half of a group of retail stores surveyed in the US had PS3s in stock, while you couldn't find a Wii for love nor money.

Citing an anonymous source, website Rumour Reporter has claimed that development on a "high profile title for the PlayStation 3" has "stalled completely", and could change from a full-fledged retail release to a chopped-up download on the PS3's online store.
