ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - A jury in the Atlantic County, N.J., Superior Court on March 12 awarded $20 million in compensatory damages to an Idaho postal worker who alleged that Vioxx caused his 2001 heart attack, according to published reports (Frederick Humeston, et al. v. Merck & Co. Inc., No ATL-L-2272-03 MT, N.J. Super., Atlantic Co.).
